WTA’s No3 and No4 will clash rackets for the opportunity to lift the trophy in front of an adoring Paris crowd.
Halep has Pliskova’s number in the hard courts, so she has the psychological advantage over her opponent. The Romanian star is also having the better clay season compared to her Czech counterpart. In addition to that, Pliskova’s climb to the top has been anything but stable: three of her matches went to three sets and another three had seven-game sets.
I don’t blame you if you’re not feeling Pliskova’s chances this time around. I’m also pointing you towards putting your eggs on Halep -1.50 @ 1.89, given that her performance has been too consistent for it to change now.
