Meanwhile, Dimitrov struggled to get things going against David Goffin. While he did win in straight sets, he had to fight back against a 4-0 game deficit in the second set, Their match was also full of errors for both sides.
Given Nadal’s condition and their match history, I find it hard to believe that Dimitrov can even take a set. It’s hard not to bet on Nadal -1.50 @ 1.26. Going against the King is too risky despite the low odds.
Alexander Zverev vs Kei Nishikori
This match doesn’t seem as lop-sided as the Nadal-Dimitrov match but should provide equal amounts of entertainment.
Both men were taken to full sets by Richard Gasquet and Marin Cilic. Alexander Zverev specifically struggled to get most of his first serves in and had to toil hard to get his win. Nishikori was also put up against a wall as Cilic was simply unstoppable in the serve. Fortunately for him, he was able to edge out the Croat.
These two will most likely take full sets before a winner is decided. While they are both struggling for form, I find Nishikori’s Asian handicap odds of +1.50 @ 1.45 to be the most sensical bet to make.
