Meanwhile, the Rojiblancos are having a tough time trying to keep their spot at second with Real Madrid hot on their heels. Their recent form leaves a lot to be desired, with Real Sociedad handing them a good 3-0 beating. Their upcoming trip to Arsenal is also a source of concern and may force Diego Simeone to field a slightly weaker team in preparation.
Diego Costa is still not cleared to play after sustaining a hamstring injury, which might force Antoine Griezmann to secure the goals for them. Kevin Gameiro and Fernando Torres need to step up in order to lessen the burden on their French star.
Betis may play this game defensively to secure a draw, but everyone knows that isn’t Quique’s way of football. Simeone will surely exploit this tendency and go for a counter-attacking strategy. I still see this game ending in a draw, making Betis +0.75 @ 2.09 an attractive option.
