Tottenham’s European credentials are under heat

After earning a top-four placement in the Premier League a few weeks ago, Tottenham proceeded to go on a disastrous run, losing four top-flight matches in a row, but managed to break the streak with a come-from-behind win over relegation candidates Burnley yesterday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Despite their triumph over the Clarets, Spurs find themselves conceding their Champions League credentials to a perseverant Aston Villa squad.

Now, with two games left in the season, their European aspirations come under threat by the Magpies, who are conveniently just six points behind with a higher goal difference.
