Huddersfield, Brighton, and Newcastle all bagged a win in their respective football games last weekend, and they will be motivated to keep the momentum swinging in their favour when they return to Premier League action.
As newly promoted sides, betting odds will always be stacked against them. But make no mistake; they are ready to make their cases for their place in the English top flight!
Liverpool vs Huddersfield Town (October 28, 22:00 GMT+8)
Nothing is going right in Reds paradise, and it might just be the perfect time for Huddersfield to strike.
Liverpool remain winless in their last three domestic outings, having scored only two times in that span. And while the Terriers just had their first win in two months, the victory over Manchester United will undoubtedly keep them confident.
Huddersfield did well to capitalise on United’s errors last Saturday; and if they can do the same against Liverpool, it’s not far-fetched for them to pull off another upset.
This game will still be tough for David Wagner’s men. However, I like their chances considering Liverpool’s poor form. With that said, my tip is Huddersfield +1.75 @ 2.08.
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Southampton (October 29, 21:30 GMT+8)
Brighton are reaping the benefits of signing Pascal Gross, who has been influential in their current 12th-place standing.
The 26-year-old German midfielder has kept the Seagulls’ attack flowing, and he should remain a threat for any team facing the East Sussex side.
Southampton have Manolo Gabbiadini ready to counter whatever the hosts throw at them. Nonetheless, they won’t have their hopes up as Brighton are on a three-game unbeaten run at the Amex.
I predict a tightly contested encounter here, but I think the home side have a slight advantage. If you’re punting, a bet on Brighton Draw No Bet @ 2.29 is the way to go for me.
Burnley vs Newcastle United (October 31, 04:00 GMT+8)
After moving into the European positions, the Magpies now have more reason to perform and continue their climb.
However, it won’t be as easy as it sounds when they visit Burnley. The Clarets have only lost once at home this campaign – during their game against West Brom – and they have been rock-solid defensively since then, bagging two clean sheets and conceding only one league goal at Turf Moor.
With Rafa Benitez’ tactical masterclass, I believe Newcastle will do just fine. Though, it’s really difficult to write off Sean Dyche’s outfit.
I see this match ending in a low-scoring draw. That’s why I have a pair of tips: 1×2 Draw @ 3.10 and Goals Under 2.25 @ 1.93.
