Football betting is at its best in the Bundesliga!

With just under two months of football games remaining in the German top flight, online betting is starting to heat up and get more interesting.

And Matchday 26 proved that with the top teams kicking off April with a goal fest while the relegation battlers continue to intensify the fight to beat the drop.

Hertha BSC 1-3 Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim solidified their bid for a podium finish and Champions League qualification, thanks to Andrej Kramaric who scored in both intervals for a double. Hertha struck first just after the half hour through Peter Pekarik, but Julian Nagelsmann’s outfit was just unstoppable as they even hit the woodwork three times in the second half before Niklas Sule and Kramaric finished off the Berliners.

Bayern Munich 6-0 Augsburg

It was another dazzling display from Robert Lewandowski who had a hand on five of the Bavarians’ six goals against Augsburg. Besides scoring a hat-trick to increase his tally to 24 goals, the Pole also assisted Thomas Muller and Thiago Alcantara – the latter a cool back-heel pass that left Alcantara for the easy tap-in.

With this victory, it doesn’t look like that Bayern will let go of the top anytime soon, so they should be a solid bet on 1X2 odds of 1.50 when they visit Hoffenheim in midweek.

Schalke 04 1-1 Borussia Dortmund

Both teams had to share the spoils, but the Revierderby did not disappoint with Dortmund and Schalke playing a highly-contested game up to the final whistle. Although BVB had plenty of chances to score with Ousmane Dembele consistently threatening the Schalke defence, they still had to wait until the second half to break the deadlock through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. New boy Thilo Kehrer, however, showed his quality as he fired the equaliser for the Royal Blues 13 minutes before time.

Hamburger SV 2-1 Koln

The game appeared heading to a draw after both teams wasted a series of chances to break the first-half tie, but a last-gasp winner from Lewis Holtby left the Billy Goats stunned. Koln failed to take advantage of Hamburg losing their most dangerous player in Nicolai Muller, and they paid for it as Holtby converted a 92nd-minute heartbreaker which also lifted the Red Shorts out of the drop zone.

Freiburg 2-5 Werder Bremen

Max Kruse started the scoring for Bremen on 21 minutes, and the goals just kept coming from then on with Thomas Delaney finishing with a hat-trick and proving that he is a great January acquisition for the River Islanders. Freiburg cut the deficit with second-half goals from Nils Petersen and Vincenzo Grifo, but it was too little, too late.

Bremen are now undefeated in six league games, and if they can keep up this form, they are worthy considerations on Draw No Bet @ 2.20 when they host Schalke this Wednesday.

RB Leipzig 4-0 Darmstadt 98

Despite playing without the injured Timo Werner, the Bulls still managed to bounce back from their Matchday 25 defeat and keep the second place firmly in their control. Bottom club Darmstadt showed some spirit as they also came close to scoring, though they weren’t able to finish well as Leipzig cruise to victory behind a Naby Keita double and an impressive showing from Emil Forsberg.

Eintracht Frankfurt 0-0 Borussia Monchengladbach

This match between Frankfurt and Gladbach was nothing short of entertaining despite ending in a goalless stalemate. The Eagles dominated for the most part and could have taken the lead within seconds after the kick-off; however, they just can’t break through Gladbach’s keeper Yann Sommer who made several stops, including an excellent penalty save to deny Frankfurt’s Marco Fabian.

Ingolstadt 2-1 Mainz 05

In danger of relegation, Ingolstadt stepped on the field and played like it was their last game. Sure enough, their aggressiveness paid off as they seized all the points and tightened the race out of danger. Romain Bregerie and Florent Hadergjonaj scored in both intervals for Ingolstadt who didn’t allow the O-Fives to have a shot on goal until the latter part of the first half.

Bayer Leverkusen 3-3 Wolfsburg

In one of the biggest and most exciting comebacks of the season, Wolfsburg battled back from two goals down to share the honours at BayArena. A seven-minute hat-trick from Mario Gomez has put the Wolves ahead with three minutes remaining; though Kai Havertz pulled one back at the death of time for Bayer to make sure that Karim Bellarabi and Kevin Volland’s efforts won’t be in vain.
