Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are underperforming in the Premier League, but not in the Europa League. These two teams are in the Top 8 in the new league format, and they’re likely to directly qualify for the Round of 16 if they take care of business this midweek. The Red Devils are fourth in the table with 15 points, while the Spurs are the sixth seed with 14 points. Both teams haven’t tasted a European defeat in a while.
The Red Devils will take on FCSB this Thursday, and the Spurs will host IF Elfsborg on the same day. The Europa League 2025 odds favour the Premier League sides to take the full three points in the final matchday.
Meanwhile, AS Roma are looking to stay in the hunt even if they won’t directly qualify for the Round of 16. The Giallorossi face a must-win situation against Eintracht Frankfurt, one of the best teams in the tournament thus far.

FCSB vs Manchester United
Believe it or not, Manchester United are one of the three undefeated teams left in the Europa League. After three consecutive draws to start their campaign, the Red Devils have won four straight games and won’t let up against FCSB.
Manchester United will likely rotate their squad against FCSB since they’ll face Crystal Palace in the Premier League 48 hours later. The key players to watch out for from this team are Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund. Fernandes scored the matchwinner against Rangers and has notched three goal involvements in six games. Hojlund aims to regain his confidence in Europe, as he has six goal involvements in the competition (five goals, one assist).
FCSB started their campaign with back-to-back losses but haven’t lost a game since then. As a result, Elias Charalambous’ side is the eighth seed with 14 points. Daniel Birligea and Stefan Tarnovanu have been FCSB’s best players in the competition, with the former registering three goals in six games and the latter securing four clean sheets.

Tottenham Hotspur vs IF Elfsborg
Tottenham are coming off a 2-1 loss against relegation-threatened Leicester City, and they hope to get a confidence boost against IF Elfsborg. Despite the favourable odds, the Spurs cannot take their Swedish visitors lightly because they’re on a two-game winning streak.
IF Elfsborg remain in contention to qualify for the knockout rounds of the Europa League for the first time in their history after amassing 10 points from their first seven matches, good for 20th in the table. Centre-back Gustav Henriksson scored the matchwinner during their latest upset victory over Nice, and he’ll be a handful to deal with alongside forwards Jalal Abdullai, Gottfrid Rapp, and Arber Zeneli.
Injuries have ravaged the Spurs, so Ange Postecoglou doesn’t have the luxury of rotating his lineup. Guglielmo Vicario, Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson, Destiny Udogie, Timo Werner, and Wilson Odobert remain unavailable for selection. Richarlison was forced off with a groin problem in the loss to Leicester City, and he is questionable for the IF Elfsborg match alongside Pape Matar Sarr, James Maddison, Djed Spence, Micky van de Ven, and Cristian Romero.
Tottenham have only won two of their last 10 home matches across all competitions (D3, L5). However, they are unbeaten in their last 16 European home matches (W13, D3).

AS Roma vs Eintracht Frankfurt
AS Roma need a win to clinch their place in the Europa League knockout rounds, and they will host the already-qualified Eintracht Frankfurt at Stadio Olimpico this Thursday.
Claudio Ranieri’s men are in this position after losing 1-0 to AZ Alkmaar last week. AS Roma bounced back with a 2-1 Serie A win over Udinese to end their 13-game wait for an elusive away victory to somehow brighten up the mood.
The Giallorossi should bring out their best starting lineup against Eintracht Frankfurt. Ranieri rested Paulo Dybala against Udinese, so he should get the starting nod up front. Leandro Paredes, Alexis Saelemaekers, and Mats Hummels are all returning too. Mario Hermoso is AS Roma’s only notable absentee, as he has missed training while processing his midseason switch to Bayer Leverkusen.
Eintracht Frankfurt will attempt to produce new Europa League 2025 highlights by committee since top scorer Omar Marmoush has already joined Manchester City. Since Elye Wahi is ineligible until the Europa League’s knockout phase, Hugo Ekitike, Can Uzun, and Mario Gotze will join forces up front.
Betting tip – Total Goals 2-3 @ 2.01
