It’s Time for Euro Football Betting Fans to Look at England

It’s been a good night for the Premier League clubs in Europe, with Spurs matching Real Madrid, Liverpool hitting a magnificent seven and Manchester City maintaining a 100 percent record.

While Los Blancos and PSG are the betting websites’ favourites to win the Champions League, there is a growing threat from the UK.

Real Madrid 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Los Blancos are joint-favourites to retain their title at betting odds of 5.00, but Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs took a point away thanks to a wonderful display from keeper Hugo Lloris. Raphael Varane had turned into his own net to give the visitors a lead, but Cristiano Ronaldo converted a penalty to leave the teams joint top of Group H.

Apoel Nicosia 1-1 Borussia Dortmund

A 1-1 draw left Apoel and Dortmund on a single point and with little hope of qualification. Mickael Pote put the hosts ahead from a tight angle, but they were pegged back by a Sokratis header on 67 minutes.

Maribor 0-7 Liverpool

Five-time winners Liverpool simply destroyed Maribor, Roberto Firmino scoring after just four minutes, his Brazilian buddy Philippe Coutinho adding a second and Mo Salah scoring twice to make it 0-4 at the break.  Firmino added his second early in the second half before sub Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Trent Alexander-Arnold made it seven.

Spartak Moscow 5-1 Sevilla

Spartak went second in Group E after a blistering second-half display against Sevilla. Andrey Yeshchenko crossed for Quincy Promes to head the hosts ahead, but Simon Kjaer equalised for the visitors on the half hour. The second half was one-way traffic as Lorenzo Melgarejo, Denis Glushakov and Luiz Adriano got in the act, before man-of-the-match Promes doubled his own tally.

AS Monaco 1-2 Besiktas

More misery for Monaco as the French lost again to hit the bottom of Group G. Former Chelsea striker Falcao fired the hosts in front on 30, but just four minutes later Cenk Tosun headed the equaliser. Ryan Babel teed Tosun up to add a second on 54 as Besiktas maintain a perfect record.

RB Leipzig 3-2 Porto

Leipzig moved ahead of Porto in Group G after edging a first-half five-goal thriller, Porto’s Ivan Marcano reducing the deficit to a single goal a minute before halftime. After the explosive opening period, it was a goalless stalemate in the second half to lift Leipzig to second.

Feyenoord 1-2 Shakhtar Donetsk

Shakhtar took advantage of Napoli’s defeat in Manchester to go three points clear in second place in Group F. Steven Berghuis headed Feyenoord into an early lead, but Bernard fired home an equaliser on 24. He then headed a beauty on 54 minutes to heap the pressure on Napoli.
