Deportivo La Coruna vs Espanyol
We have a big match to start us off this weekend as Depor, in desperate trouble in 19th, host Espanyol who are nine points above the drop but still with a bit to do. With just a single point from six, Deportivo desperately need a win at odds of 2.49. Espanyol are available at 2.87 and the draw at 3.15.
Celta Vigo vs Eibar
11th-placed Celta Vigo could leapfrog Eibar, currently seventh, and catapult themselves into the Europa League chase. However, they need to find some consistency to be able to do that, having lost two from three. On the other hand, the visitors won two before succumbing to Barca last week. A draw at 3.30 is a distinct possibility.
Real Madrid vs Alaves
Real showed their big-match prowess against PSG last week and while they are a gigantic 17 points off the pace, they have won four in five in the league. But three consecutive wins have lifted Alaves away from trouble and the visitors are at 1.86 to win with a +2.50 advantage.
WEEK 25 SUNDAY:
Leganes vs Las Palmas
Leganes may still be recovering from their midweek Madrid derby but they should find Las Palmas rather more beatable opponents than Los Blancos. Two wins from five have lifted the Gran Canarians within one more win from safety, while the hosts have gone five without a win in all competitions.
Barcelona vs Girona
Barca return to domestic matters after a tough European clash with Chelsea but it certainly isn’t time for Ernesto Valverde to start sweating. Fail to win this Derby though and doubts could creep in. Europa-chasing Girona carries a threat and is available to win at 1.83 with a +2.50 start.
Villarreal vs Getafe
Three matches without a win has sunk the Yellow Submarine to sixth, and just three points above seventh. Draw specialists Getafe are unbeaten in six so it could be a frustrating afternoon for home strikers Cedric Bakambu and Carlos Bacca, who will have to work hard to add to their 17 goals.
Athletic Bilbao vs Malaga
Athletic Club have won one in seven, and that in the Europa League, so home fans will be delighted to welcome bottom club Malaga, rooted in the drop zone and on a run of three consecutive defeats. A home win will banish any nightmarish thoughts of a slide into a relegation scrap.
WEEK 25 MONDAY:
Valencia vs Real Sociedad
After a disappointing slump, Valencia have won the last two to hold onto third place. They now welcome a Sociedad side who are still recovering from their own malaise. With Valencia’s Simone Zaza on ten and Real’s Willian Jose on 11, there should be goals at the Mestalla and you can get 1.82 on over 3.00.
Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid
Atletico could, and should, be ten points behind Barca when they arrive in Seville but, either way, expect another clinical display. Sevilla have hit some form, winning the last three but Antoine Griezmann and co will do their best to keep the gap to no more than seven points, and are at 2.17 to win.
WEEK 25 TUESDAY:
Levante vs Real Betis
17th-placed Levante host Real Betis in Week 25’s last match and they are in real need of a win. Just two points clear of a resurgent Las Palmas and without a home win in the last six, their own crowdwill be jittery, Tenth-placed Betis could easily take advantage to win at odds of 2.87.
