Uruguay vs Brazil

First meets second in this war of the giants, and the South America World Cup qualifying football games don’t get any better than this.

As the online betting action resumes, fans will be treated to an exciting live betting match between Brazil and Uruguay at Montevideo – wherein a victory will bring Brazil one step closer to securing their spot at Russia 2018.

However, the Selecao know that winning is easier said than done, especially after seeing some of their key players go down due to injury.

Already without Gabriel Jesus who is currently sidelined with a broken foot, Brazil’s woes continue with the recent knee injury of Bayern winger Douglas Costa. Although the team’s manager, Tite, already called up Sport Recife’s forward Diego Souza and Flamengo playmaker Diego, it isn’t guaranteed that they can produce the same quality as the two injured stars.

Adding more to their worries is the fact that they’ll be facing Oscar Tabarez’ Uruguay who haven’t lost at home in this year’s qualifiers – they haven’t even lost at home for almost eight years now!

Neymar’s presence will be huge for Brazil, considering that Uruguay will be without the suspended Luis Suarez. Though, the Brazilians can’t take it easy even without the oppositions’ main striker as PSG’s Edinson Cavani – who could be looking to take his revenge to Brazil’s Golden Boy – remains in excellent condition to answer back for La Celeste.

Breaking Uruguay’s wall will also be a difficult task for the visitors, and they can’t expect to freely score like their encounter 12 months ago with both Atletico Madrid’s Diego Godin and Porto’s Maxi Pereira back to bring some grit to the Uruguayan defence.

The plans that Tite and Tabarez are masterminding could spell the difference in this game. The former already made four changes to his side, while the latter is likely to use Cavani as an out-and-out centre-forward and link him up with Diego Rolan to form a fearsome counter-attacking duo.

I think Uruguay have a legitimate chance of denying Brazil, which is why they should be a solid choice on Draw No Bet @ 2.26.
