The battle for playoff qualification reaches a new high as the NBA season is about to come to a close. Betting odds will be especially tight for the Western Conference as the teams from third to tenth are separated by only five wins.
We should expect some fun sports betting action from these competitive teams in the West as well as the rest of the league’s top dogs!
LA Clippers vs Indiana Pacers (March 24, 8:00 GMT +8)
Victor Oladipo’s production may have slowed down a bit, but that doesn’t erase the fact that he has led Indiana to a good spot in the playoffs. While winning against Lou Williams and the Clippers may be tough opponents to face, but Indiana’s better defensive rating should help them get the W. Indiana -2.50 @ 1.96 is a good punt to make.
Denver Nuggets @ Washington Wizards (March 24, 8:00 GMT +8)
The Nuggets are sitting right out of the playoff picture, two wins behind Utah and Minnesota. They need to win this tough road game at the Capitol One Arena against the Wizards. Washington are still without John Wall and are solely relying on Bradley Beal for production. They should make things tough for the visitors, but Nikola Jokic and Gary Harris should be able to force a win for Denver.
The most sensible punt to take is Denver +1.50 @ 1.95.
Phoenix Suns @ Cleveland Cavaliers (March 24, 8:30 GMT +8)
The Suns lost the last time they hosted the Cavaliers, so there shouldn’t be any doubt that they will also lose on their visit to the Quicken Loans Arena. Even if they do put up a fight, LeBron James is there to sweep the shattered remains of their squad off the floor.
Minnesota Timberwolves @ New York Knicks (March 24, 8:30 GMT +8)
Should the season end now, Minnesota will be squaring off against the Golden State Warriors. Tom Thibodeau and his young Wolves definitely don’t want the Dubs as their first opponent, so they need to win against New York. With Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins playing great basketball, it’s hard not to go for Minnesota -6.50 @ 1.94.
Brooklyn Nets @ Toronto Raptors (March 24, 8:30 GMT +8)
Brooklyn are among the league’s worst teams in defensive efficiency, while the Raptors are the third best in the league when it comes to offensive efficiency. There should be no doubts that Toronto will devour the Nets and boot them out of Air Canada Centre without so much as a goodbye. There’s no other way to go than Toronto -12.00 @ 1.95.
Milwaukee Bucks @ Chicago Bulls (March 24, 9:00 GMT +8)
The Bucks still aren’t sure if they can have Giannis Antentokounmpo ready in time for their trip to Chicago, but I don’t think they should have any concerns in this match. Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe and Jabari Parker have been playing well and will not let the Bulls easily have their way.
I see this ending in a double-digit victory for Milwaukee, so putting money on their -5.50 @ 1.96 Asian Handicap will result in decent returns.
Miami Heat @ Oklahoma City Thunder (March 24, 9:00 GMT +8)
The Heat are currently seventh in the Eastern Conference standings, but a string of losses would see them sink to the bottom seed. They need to win against an Oklahoma City team running on top form if they wish to keep fighting for better seeding. However, I don’t see Goran Dragic being able to trade buckets with Russell Westbrook, so OKC -6.00 @ 1.90 is a good pick to make.
Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs (March 24, 9:30 GMT +8)
This is probably the most important clash to watch for the avid NBA fan.
Both teams are far from securing their playoff spots and need the wins in order to put some distance between them and the chasing pack. Utah especially need the W as the Nuggets are only two games away. This game could go either way, but I see Donovan Mitchell forcing a win here. Utah +3.00 @ 2.00 is a risky bet I’m recommending.
Boston Celtics @ Portland Trail Blazers (March 24, 11:00 GMT +8)
The Celtics are a well-oiled machine that are only losing games due to their key cogs being out of duty. Since almost their entire backcourt is basically injured, I don’t think they can defeat the Blazers on their home floor. However, they should be able to keep the score close. Boston +6.00 @ 2.16 is a good bet to make.
Atlanta Hawks @ Golden State Warriors (March 24, 11:30 GMT +8)
The Hawks weren’t able to beat the lowly Sacramento Kings, but they have a good chance at winning against the injury-ridden Dubs. However, the Warriors should be able to win easily if Stephen Curry gets to cleared to play in front of the adoring Oracle Arena crowd.
