Today was a slow day for many of the NBA’s faithful. Only four teams played ball, so there was very little basketball to go over.
However, the four teams that played today are some of the best teams in the Western Conference. Betting odds were surely intriguing for these two games, and the stars certainly didn’t disappoint the bookies and fans!
Golden State Warriors 124-114 Houston Rockets
No live betting pundit in their right mind would have ever doubted the Golden State Warriors winning away against the Houston Rockets. They have a full-health squad ready to play, and Houston understood that it would be a tall order to beat them without James Harden.
The home fans were surely delighted by the quality exhibited by Eric Gordon and Chris Paul. The duo, both being former Clippers, did a lot of the heavy lifting in terms of points. Gerald Green also pitched in from the bench.
However, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson made sure that the Rockets were nowhere to be seen when it mattered most. Their combined efforts of 57 points did enough to seal the game for the Dubs.
Oklahoma City Thunder 127-117 Los Angeles Clippers
This game was a tale of two halves.
Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan were simply unstoppable during the first half of the contest. Alongside Lou Williams, the Clippers did everything they wanted and built a sizeable lead at halftime.
However, the Thunder managed to sort it out in the locker room and exploded for a high-scoring second half that left the Clippers in the dust. Paul George’s 31 points are the talk of the town, but the contributions of Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook were also instrumental in putting the Clippers away.
Loud City should demand more of these kinds of games from their stars if they want to make a deep cut into the hearts of the Warriors come playoff season.
