The big nightmare is nearly over for the Raptors

countdown banner

It looks like that we have another sweep coming as the online betting favourites, Cleveland Cavaliers, handed the Toronto Raptors a reality check with another dominating performance to take an insurmountable 3-0 lead in their NBA Playoffs series.

The Raptors are in high spirits to turn around the betting odds following the live betting shock they suffered two days ago, but it all went in vain as the Cavs once again showed the massive difference between them.

Cleveland Cavaliers 115-94 Toronto Raptors

It’s just another day in the office for LeBron James and his Cavaliers.

Fresh from scoring 39 last Thursday, James notched 35 this time as he lifted his average in the series to a little over 36 points to go with eight rebounds and five assists.

Although DeMar DeRozan got more space en route to recording 37 points on 52.2 percent shooting – his highest in three games – it still wasn’t enough as his teammates struggled shooting, particularly from deep where they only made two out of their 18 attempts.

Not to mention that they were without starting All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry who was a game-time decision after spraining his left ankle in Game 2.

Cleveland had an alarming 16 turnovers in the match, but it went largely unnoticed as they dominated the rebounding department with 49, almost double of Toronto’s 25.

San Antonio Spurs 103-92 Houston Rockets

The Spurs know that limiting the Rockets’ three-point production is the key to beating their Texas rivals, and that is exactly what they did to take the lead in the series.

Sure, Houston’s James Harden exploded for 43 points in this closely contested affair, but he lacked his usual efficiency from beyond the arc as the whole team just shot 30.8 percent, making only 12 of their 39 attempts.

San Antonio, meanwhile, banked on a balanced offence to get their revenge against the team that blew them out in their first game at home. Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge both recorded 26 points, while Patty Mills did well with 15 to fill in for the injured Tony Parker.

The Spurs will need to improve their ball handling though as the Rockets made 12 steals that pushed them to commit 20 turnovers.
