Now that’s a great way to close the year!

The best NBA teams wanted to end the year with a bang and start a new one with style, and they did so dutifully with some breathtaking performances on New Year’s Eve that certainly sent huge waves on betting websites and sports betting circles.

It was also a night to remember for online betting as the game’s superstars shined brighter than ever.

Memphis Grizzlies 112-98 Sacramento Kings

Despite Marc Gasol failing to contribute after spraining his left ankle, the Grizzlies still managed to come out victorious against the Kings. Highly paid guard Mike Conley led the charge for the Grizzlies with his 22 points and eight rebounds while JaMychal Green finished with 18 points, making four of the team’s 17 three-pointers.

A big third quarter also helped Memphis cruise to a comfortable win at Golden 1 Center.

Milwaukee Bucks 116-96 Chicago Bulls

Milwaukee’s dynamic duo Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker impressed once again as they combined for 62 points to shrug off the embarrassment of yesterday’s defeat to the lowly Wolves.

The Bulls had a strong start, but the Bucks’ huge second half – capped by a 36-point outing in the final 12 minutes of play – made it impossible for them to retake the lead. It also didn’t help them that Dwyane Wade played poorly.

Cleveland Cavaliers 121-109 Charlotte Hornets

Kyrie Irving’s absence didn’t affect the Cavaliers that much with Jordan McRae filling the void he left on the offence. LeBron James and Kevin Love also displayed some incredible performances to help the Cavs, scoring 32 and 28 respectively and combining for a total of eight made three-pointers out of the team’s 14.

Kemba Walker recorded 37 points for Charlotte, but his teammates failed to step up and give him enough support.

LA Clippers 88-114 Oklahoma City Thunder

A 33-12 first quarter set the tone for the Thunder’s 26-point thrashing of the Clippers. With Victor Oladipo returning and Russell Westbrook back to his triple-double ways, Oklahoma kept on firing from all over the court to lead by as much as 35 points in the contest.

The Clippers, clearly, had no chance from the start as Chris Paul and Blake Griffin remain inactive. Unfortunately for them, they have now lost six straight games.

New York Knicks 122-129 Houston Rockets

James Harden exploded for 53 points, 17 assists and 16 rebounds to power the Rockets past the Knicks. It was indeed a historic night for the MVP candidate as he torched New York with nine three-pointers on a 56.3 percent shooting clip.

The Knicks’ star Carmelo Anthony, on the other hand, failed to shine under the bright lights as he sits out the second half of the game with a sore left knee.

Phoenix Suns 86-91 Utah Jazz

It was the Jazz’ balanced offence that propelled them to a narrow victory over the Suns. Phoenix stayed close throughout, thanks to an efficient shooting night from Devin Booker; however, Utah proved to have more quality, especially on the bench.

Not to mention that Gordon Hayward and Rudy Gobert were unstoppable as they dominated the defensive boards.
