NBA: Greek Freak and Luka Magic Clash in LA

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Bucks take on Luka Doncic’s Lakers at the Crypto.com Arena. Both teams need this win to gain more ground in the NBA standings. On the other hand, the Knicks, Nets, Raptors, and Bulls will visit the Hornets, Pacers, Warriors, and Kings.

There are only five games on the schedule, but SBOTOP basketball fans will be treated to new NBA 2025 highlights tomorrow.

New York Knicks @ Charlotte Hornets

The Knicks have been inconsistent since Jalen Brunson went down with an ankle injury. After blowing out the Heat 116-95 at MSG last Monday, the Knicks notched a 120-105 road loss against the Spurs.

New York couldn’t find an answer for Sandro Mamukelashvili, who came off the bench to notch 34 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and seven three-pointers on 13-for-14 shooting from the field. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 32 points and nine rebounds on 11-for-21 shooting from the field in the losing effort. Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, Mitchell Robinson, Cameron Payne, and Miles McBride added 14, 14, 13, 11, and 11 points.

The NBA 2025 odds back the Knicks to win since the Hornets have it worse. Charlotte have lost three of their last four, including a 134-102 blowout defeat against Atlanta last Tuesday. The Hornets were undermanned against the Hawks, as LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges, and Josh Okogie (among others) were out. Seth Curry and DaQuan Jeffries did their best by posting 19 points each.

Brooklyn Nets @ Indiana Pacers

The Pacers have won four of their last five games. Indiana secured a 135-131 win over Dallas yesterday, rallying from an 11-point deficit in the final period to beat the shorthanded reigning Western Conference champions.

Pascal Siakam top-scored for Indiana with 29 points and five assists on 11-for-16 shooting from the field. Bennedict Mathurin, Andrew Nembhard, Aaron Nesmith, and Obi Toppin added 23, 22, 18, and 13 points. Tyrese Haliburton was out due to a back injury, and he’s questionable for tomorrow’s matchup.

The Nets lost to the Celtics again last Tuesday, despite not having Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum in the game. D’Angelo Russell, Ziaire Williams, Keon Johnson, Cameron Johnson, and Trendon Watford pumped 18, 15, 13, 11, and 11 points.

Betting tip – Indiana Pacers Asian Handicap -8.50 @ 1.84

Toronto Raptors @ Golden State Warriors

The Warriors secured a 104-93 win against the Bucks despite not having Stephen Curry, as head coach Steve Kerr opted to give him the night off, citing fatigue. Jimmy Butler scored 24 points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists on 6-for-13 shooting from the field and a perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line. Brandin Podziemski, Buddy Hield, Quinten Post, and Jonathan Kuminga added 17, 15, 14, and 10 points, and Draymond Green had a phenomenal night on the defensive end.

The Raptors suffered their second consecutive loss against the Suns last Monday despite having six players scoring in double digits. Scottie Barnes top-scored with 16 points, four rebounds, and three assists on 5-for-13 shooting from the field. Immanuel Quickley, Jamison Battle, AJ Lawson, Orlando Robinson, and Colin Castleton added 15, 14, 12, 12, and 10 points.

Betting tip – Golden State Warriors Asian Handicap -14.50 @ 1.94

Chicago Bulls @ Sacramento Kings

Sacramento aim to extend their winning streak to three games to make a run at one of the top seeds in the Western Conference. The Kings are coming off a 123-119 victory over the Cavaliers, as DeMar DeRozan, Malik Monk, Devin Carter, Keon Ellis, Keegan Murray, Trey Lyles, and Jonas Valanciunas had 27, 22, 16, 13, 13, 13, and 12 points. They will continue to play without their starting center, Domantas Sabonis, who is out for at least 10 days due to a sprained ankle.

The Bulls just lost 127-121 to the Suns. Coby White and Nikola Vucevic had 24 points apiece, and Josh Giddey, Kevin Huerter, and Tre Jones added 22, 15, and 12 points, but it wasn’t enough since they let Devin Booker go off for 41 points.

Betting tip – Sacramento Kings Asian Handicap -6.50 @ 1.94

Milwaukee Bucks @ Los Angeles Lakers

Can the Lakers extend their three-game NBA winning streak when they face the Bucks next?
Los Angeles Lakers’ Luka Doncic steps back to shoot against Denver Nuggets’ Jalen Pickett during their recent NBA game at Crypto.com Arena

Doc Rivers reportedly called for a meeting with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard to sort out their issues after losing back-to-back games against the Thunder and Warriors. The star duo had 36 points last Tuesday but only went 11-for-34 shooting combined.

The Lakers are on a three-game winning streak and are fresh from a 120-108 win against the undermanned Nuggets. Luka Doncic only needed three quarters to record 31 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and four three-pointers on 10-for-21 shooting from the field.
