NBA: Celtics Can Clinch In-Season Tourney QF Spot With Win Over Magic

countdown banner

While the Celtics are expected to be on top of the Eastern Conference, the same can’t be said for the Magic, who are currently the second seed over the likes of the Bucks, Heat, and Sixers.

So, it is only fitting that these two teams face off in a game that presents the hosts with the opportunity to see where they stack up against the best of them.

It’s a busy day in the NBA tomorrow, as besides the Celtics-Magic tiff, the Suns, Heat, Bulls, Pistons, Nuggets, Wizards, Kings, Spurs, and Pelicans are scheduled to visit the Grizzlies, Knicks, Raptors, Pacers, Rockets, Bucks, Timberwolves, Warriors, and Clippers, respectively, in the continuation of the in-season tournament.

Boston Celtics @ Orlando Magic

After suffering a close loss against the Hornets on Monday, the Celtics got back to winning ways with a win against fellow East power, the Bucks. Overall, they have the best record in the league with a 12-3 win-loss record.

Jayson Tatum is in the MVP talks because he has recorded a double-double in back-to-back games and seven times over his first 15 appearances, averaging 27.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.

As for the Magic, they are enjoying a five-game winning streak because Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner are in a rich vein of form, with averages of 20.4 and 19.4 points per game, respectively, during their positive run of NBA 2023 results.

Betting tip: Boston Celtics Asian Handicap -5.50 @ 2.00

Miami Heat @ New York Knicks

Like the Magic, the Heat are also one of the most in-form teams in the league because they’ve won nine out of their last 10 games, and they’re also one of the few undefeated teams left in the in-season tourney (2-0).

Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo continue to post all-around numbers for Miami, with the former averaging 20.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, while the latter is posting 22.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game so far this term.

The Knicks, meanwhile, have won three of their last four games, and they have a dynamic duo to match with the Heat.

Jalen Brunson is leading the team by averaging 24.2 points per game, while Julius Randle has all-around norms of 19.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per contest.

Betting tip: New York Knicks Asian Handicap -5.50 @ 1.96

Denver Nuggets @ Houston Rockets

As expected, the Joker is back in the MVP conversation with video game norms of 27.5 points, 13.1 rebounds, 8.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game so far this season.

And with Jamal Murray still sidelined, it is up to Nikola Jokic to continue to put the Nuggets on his shoulders as they seek to get ahead of the pack in West Group B.

The Nuggets are seeking revenge on the Rockets after losing to them in their first season encounter not too long ago, and the SBOTOP NBA 2023 odds like their chances of doing so since Houston haven’t won a single game since.

Betting tip: Denver Nuggets Asian Handicap -3.00 @ 1.90

San Antonio Spurs @ Golden State Warriors

The Spurs are desperate to put an end to their 10-game losing streak tomorrow against the ageing Warriors, who have only won two out of their last 10 games.

Top overall pick Victor Wembanyama is doing his best for San Antonio with averages of 18.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game, but the guys around him need to perform much better.

As for the Warriors, Steph Curry was held in check against the Suns recently with a season-low 16 points. But on the bright side, it seems that his Splash Brother Klay Thompson finally has his mojo back because he has made 14 three-pointers in his last three outings.

Betting tip: Golden State Warriors Asian Handicap -10.50 @ 2.00

New Orleans Pelicans @ LA Clippers

The Pelicans and the Clippers are currently enjoying winning streaks, but only one of them can stay undefeated tomorrow.

Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram have led the way in New Orleans’ back-to-back victories against Sacramento, as Ingram went off for 31 points on Monday while Williamson averaged 25.5 points in the last two games while shooting 69-per cent from the field.

The Clippers, on the other hand, have shown signs of improvement after dropping their first six games since the arrival of James Harden.

In their wins against the Spurs (twice) and the Rockets, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard have averaged 59.3 points per game combined.

Betting tip: LA Clippers Asian Handicap -6.00 @ 2.04
