NBA Recap: Bucks Extend Winning Streak to 12, Sixers Still Undefeated at Home

countdown banner

The Milwaukee Bucks now own the best record in the NBA and they are on a roll with their 12-game winning streak.

On the other hand, the Philadelphia Sixers have gone undefeated in their 10 home games, and much of their success can be owed to the superb play of Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Tobias Harris.

Elsewhere, the Atlanta Hawks snapped their 10-game skid by blowing out the Golden State Warriors in the first night of their two-game homestand.

Without further ado, SBOBET is here to give you a recap of today’s game in the Association.

Indiana Pacers 117-104 Memphis Grizzlies

The Pacers had all of their key players stepping up in order to beat the depleted Grizzlies on the road on Monday night.

Seven players scored in double digits for Indiana as Malcolm Brogdon, Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, Jeremy Lamb, Justin Holiday, TJ Warren, and Aaron Holiday scored 19, 18, 17, 15, 15, 14, and 11 respectively.

The Grizzlies were depleted with some of their rotation players sidelined due to various health problems. Jonas Valanciunas was out due to an illness. Brandon Clarke and Kyle Anderson didn’t play due to a problematic hip and heel, while Ja Morant was listed week-to-week due to an aggravated back injury.

Jaren Jackson Jr. led all scorers with 31 points while Dillon Brooks tallied 19. De’Anthony Melton made the most out of his added playing time by notching 16 points and nine rebounds, while Solomon Hill scored a season-high of 22 points including four three-pointers.

Milwaukee Bucks 132-88 New York Knicks

Giannis Antetokounmpo only needed 14 minutes to record another double-double performance plus some NBA 2019 highlights, as he led the Milwaukee Bucks to their 12th straight win against the listless New York Knicks.

The Greek Freak scored his 20th double-double of the season and he finished with 29 points, 15 rebounds, including three makes from distance.

Milwaukee opened the floodgates right from the get-go as they’ve outscored the road team 33-15 in the first quarter. The Mike Budenholzer-coached squad led by as much as 47 points to assert their dominance.

Everyone scored for the Bucks in this game, including Giannis’ younger brother Thanasis Antetokounmpo who added 10 points and three dimes.

Julius Randle topscored for the Knicks with 19 points while Damyean Dotson scored 15 off the bench.

Atlanta Hawks 104-79 Golden State Warriors

The Atlanta Hawks weren’t favoured in our NBA 2019 odds of winning this game, but they were able to finally break out of their funk in dominant fashion against the Golden State Warriors.

The Hawks turned their defense up a notch by holding the Warriors to their season low in points (79) as the latter are still down to only eight players.

“It feels good, obviously. We’re all happy, but we have a long way to go. We have to continue to get better,” said Young postgame.

Trae Young was back to his usual form by scoring 24 points and dishing out seven assists. He is supported by the likes of De’Andre Hunter and Damian Jones who chipped in 18 and 16.

Eric Paschall churned out 24 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, while Alec Burks poured in 15 points for the Warriors.

Philadelphia Sixers 103-94 Utah Jazz

The Wells Fargo Center has been a fortress for the Philadelphia Sixers as they’ve added another victim in the Utah Jazz.

Philadelphia waxed hot from three-point area as they knocked down 13 out of their 26 attempts. Al Horford made the most attempts with three en route to his 17 markers while super sub James Ennis canned two big attempts to help give themselves a much-needed cushion.

Joel Embiid continues his bounce back from his scoreless night by notching 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons tallied 26 and 14 respectively.

Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell poured in 27 and 18 for the Jazz. However, they missed the usual production of Mike Conley as he was carted off due to a left hamstring issue.

Phoenix Suns 109-104 Charlotte Hornets

Kelly Oubre Jr. struggled shooting from deep by going 0-for-7 to start, but that didn’t deter him to keep on letting it fly.

The lanky forward finally made his last two three-pointers, both coming in the game’s waning moments, and he finished with 23 points leading the Suns to a victory against the Hornets.

Phoenix saw their 20-point lead evaporate after a furious rally by Charlotte. They trailed by as low as five in the final minute up until Oubre canned back-to-back threes to put his team on top with less than 20 seconds left.

The Hornets had two chances to steal this one from the Suns. However, a careless turnover by PJ Washington and an airball by Devonte Graham sealed the deal for the road team.

Devin Booker scored 23 points while Dario Saric poured in 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Suns.

Marvin Williams led the way for Charlotte with 22 points and Devonte Graham added 15 points and 13 assists.

Chicago Bulls 113-106 Sacramento Kings

The Chicago Bulls were in a world of trouble for quite some time now, which is why a win over the Sacramento Kings provided them some sort of a relief.

The Jim Boylen-coached squad almost lost this one after registering 18 turnovers and made only one field goal over the final four minutes in the fourth quarter, but Lauri Markkanen and Zach LaVine did just enough to secure the win.

Zach LaVine poured in 28 points while Lauri Markkanen had 20 points and seven rebounds for Chicago. Tomas Satoransky added 14 points.

Buddy Hield tallied 26 points for the Kings, including a step-back jumper to cut their deficit to two points with 2:18 remaining. However, he missed three shots from rainbow country in the last 40 seconds.

Richaun Holmes finished with 20 points and nine rebounds for the home team.
