NBA: Old Friends Kevin Durant and Steph Curry Meet Again in Brooklyn

The Golden State Warriors and the Brooklyn Nets have been lighting up the NBA and they’re in for an epic showdown tomorrow at the Barclays Center.

Both have combined for only six defeats so far as they’re being led by their MVP candidates in Steph Curry and Kevin Durant – who also happens to be former teammates not too long ago.

Elsewhere, early pacesetters Jazz will aim to bounce back following their losses at the hands of the Pacers and the Heat when they’ll host the slumping Sixers.

Meanwhile, the young Spurs will look to move up a few spots in the Western Conference standings with a much-needed victory over the Clippers – who have won seven of their last eight.

Tomorrow’s schedule may be leaner than usual, but we still expect plenty of NBA 2021 highlights from our favourite players and teams.

Golden State Warriors @ Brooklyn Nets

The Warriors are aiming to get back on the winning track as they’ll continue their East coast stretch tomorrow.

Golden State are fresh from a rare road loss to Charlotte as the hosts had six players scoring in double digits while the visitors had four.

Andrew Wiggins had a game high of 28 points for the Warriors while Steph Curry had an all-around game of 24 points, six rebounds, and 10 assists, but he only shot 7-for-22 from the field.

In a game that was nip-and-tuck all throughout, it was the Warriors who were outplayed down the stretch – including the won jump ball by Terry Rozier over Draymond Green when the Hornets were leading by two points with less than 30 seconds left.

Green took the blame for the costly sequence, although he didn’t do so bad himself with 11 points, six rebounds, and six assists.

On the same night, the Nets demolished the Thunder with a score of 120-96 as Kevin Durant, Patty Mills, and James Harden combined for 78 points.

Brooklyn are now winners of three consecutive games and if they’d catch Steph Curry on another inefficient night, they are going to be backed by the SBOTOP NBA 2021 odds to win once more.

Philadelphia Sixers @ Utah Jazz

The Sixers must have all hands on deck as they’ll try to arrest their four-game losing streak, while the Jazz are in need of a shot in the arm too.

Philly have a worrying injury list as they’ll still be without Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, Matisse Thybulle, and Danny Green.

With a depleted lineup, the Doc Rivers-mentored squad has been defencively-challenged as they’ve conceded 115-plus points during their skid.

This means that Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, and Seth Curry will have to be at their sparkling best on both ends of the floor to have a chance.

Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert will play a vital role for Utah Jazz to beat the 76ers in their NBA home game

As for the Jazz, it’s their offence that has been struggling since they’ve only averaged 105 points per game despite being ranked as the seventh-best scoring team in the Association.

The good news the Jazz, however, is that they won’t have to deal with the Sixers at 100-per cent – which should open up opportunities for them.

Utah have capable scorers in Donovan Mitchell, Jordan Clarkson, Bojan Bogdanovic, Mike Conley who aren’t afraid to let it fly. And if they can rediscover their shooting touch tomorrow, the Sixers are going to be in a world of pain.

Betting Tip – Utah Jazz Asian Handicap -9.00 @ 1.96

San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Clippers

Despite the absence of Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers have been doing generally well and they’ll be gunning for another home victory.

Paul George, Reggie Jackson, and Eric Bledsoe have been doing their share in carrying the Clippers’ load, although their efficiency still has room for improvement.

Los Angeles saw their seven-game win streak snapped when they where defeated by Chicago yesterday as their main trio combined to shoot a paltry 18-for-56 from the field.

On the other hand, the Spurs are on a funk as they’ve lost five of their past seven and they’ll be trying to avoid losing their third consecutive match tomorrow.

In their previous defeat vs. the Lakers, Keldon Johnson led the way with 24 points while Dejounte Murray racked up a 22-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist triple-double.

They’re still missing their starting center in Jakob Poeltl, who was sidelined due to the league’s COVID-19 protocols, although he could be available sooner than later.

A healthy Jakob Poeltl would surely help the Spurs in a massive way. But he’s expected to sit this one out as he’s still working his way back to 100-per cent fitness.

Betting Tip – Los Angeles Clippers Asian Handicap -6.50 @ 1.93
