A six-game slate is upon us for our NBA Wednesday, and certain teams will look to sustain their momentum as of late.
After a brilliant showing in his return to Brooklyn, Kyrie Irving will face a stiff test against the red-hot Utah Jazz who are in the midst of a nine-game winning streak.
In the FedEx Forum, the Grizzlies have snuck into the eighth seed of the Western Conference riding a five-game win streak. They will face a tough matchup in the Houston Rockets.
Milwaukee continue to be the best team in the NBA with a 35-6 record, and they will get to face a much-improved New York club tomorrow.
Phoenix Suns @ Atlanta Hawks
The Suns are visiting the State Farm Arena tomorrow with hopes of ending their dry spell against the Hawks as the latter have won their last five meetings at home.
Phoenix are in the midst of a two-game winning streak and have climbed into the playoff picture in the Western Conference, thanks to the strong performances of Devin Booker and Kelly Oubre Jr.
The said duo has been dangerous against Atlanta as they have accounted for 57 points in their first meeting this season. They will be backed up by Deandre Ayton, who has been showing glimpses of his potential by playing well off the bench.
Atlanta are on a four-game losing streak and they have sunk to the bottom of the standings with an 8-32 record.
Betting tip: Suns Asian Handicap -3.50 @2.02
Utah Jazz @ Brooklyn Nets
Kyrie Irving’s return to the hardwood has been worth the wait for SBOBET fans as he scored an ultra-efficient 21-point night in a blowout victory versus the Hawks.
His Nets will be put to the test when they host the streaking Jazz who have been firing on all cylinders since early December.
Utah was 13-11 on December 9. But since the arrival of Jordan Clarkson, the Jazz were unbeaten in nine games. All in all, the Jazz are 14-1 in their last 15 games, a stretch where they put up norms of 115.1 points per game while shooting around 50-per cent from the field.
The Jazz appears to have the upper hand in our NBA 2020 odds as they are 9-2 in their past 11 meetings against the Nets. Donovan Mitchell torched Brooklyn with 30 points in a 119-114 win last November.
New York Knicks @ Milwaukee Bucks
Things have gone for the better for the Knicks when head coach Mike Miller took over, and they will look to build a rare winning streak as they visit the Bucks tomorrow.
New York snapped their five-game skid last Sunday when they erased a double-digit deficit to beat Miami. This time, however, they will face a Bucks squad who are now healthier and well-rested.
After being hampered by a sore back, Giannis Antetokounmpo went to business as usual by scoring 32 points, 17 rebounds, and six assists against the Blazers. He will look to further assert his dominance in order to make a strong case for a repeat MVP bid.
Betting tip: Bucks Asian Handicap -16.00 @1.95
Houston Rockets @ Memphis Grizzlies
Houston would be keen on improving their standing in the tough Western Conference, but it won’t come easy as they will face the revitalised Grizzlies.
The home team is currently riding on a five-game win streak and has snuck up to the eighth spot in the West. Memphis have been heavily reliant on their youth thanks to the brilliance of Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr.
Meanwhile, the Rockets have won five out of their last seven games. James Harden and Russell Westbrook continue to produce some noteworthy NBA 2020 highlights while filling up the box score as well.
Betting tip: Rockets Asian Handicap -4.50 @1.90
Dallas Mavericks @ Golden State Warriors
Dallas and Golden State will meet for the final time tomorrow, and the former will look to dominate the latter once more in San Francisco.
The Mavericks have scored at least 140 points in their previous two encounters, and they were led by Luka Doncic’s triple-doubles.
Doncic’s heroics will be needed once more as Kristaps Porzingis is still out. The lanky Latvian is suffering from an illness on top of having a sore knee.
The Warriors, on the other hand, are to be led by D’Angelo Russell as they try to snap their eight-game losing skid after pulling off a huge surprise last Christmas.
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Los Angeles Clippers
While the Cavaliers have shown improvement as of late, they will face a stern test against the formidable Clippers who are trying to make amends from their subpar performances lately.
Cleveland are coming off of a blowout loss against Los Angeles and they have lost six of their last eight games.
The Clippers, meanwhile, won close matches against the Warriors and the Knicks and then lost to the Nuggets on the road.
Kawhi Leonard is expected to do all the heavy lifting on offence as Paul George will be sidelined yet again due to a hamstring complaint.
