Not only do they struggle to score outside of their home, they also have to contend with a Victor Oladipo who is playing out his skin this season. Indiana -6.00 @ 2.03 is the way to go here.
Washington Wizards @ Atlanta Hawks (December 28, 8:30 GMT+8)
John Wall and Bradley Beal reminded the league that Washington still has one of the most dynamic duos in the league at the moment. They should have no problem dealing with an Atlanta side that barely won over the Mavs in their own backyard. Go for Washington -6.00 @ 1.87.
New York Knicks @ Chicago Bulls (December 28, 9:00 GMT+8)
The Knicks did lose to the Philadelphia 76ers on Christmas Day, but the team did show spirit against a more talented squad. If they keep the Christmas energy they showed last time out, they should be able to impose their will against a Bulls side that found their mojo.
I think the Knickerbockers will be able to barely get through, so put your money on New York +1.50 @ 1.94.
Denver Nuggets @ Minnesota Timberwolves (December 28, 9:00 GMT+8)
It seems that the Timberwolves have finally figured out how to win consistent basketball and are now on a nice winning streak. They beat the Nuggets five days before Christmas, so the Wolves should have an easier time cruising past Nikola Jokic and company.
Brooklyn Nets @ New Orleans Pelicans (December 28, 9:00 GMT+8)
Kenny Atkinson is doing well in Brooklyn, considering that the Nets have their two best players benched. His coaching mettle will be tested again when his Nets head to the Big Easy and duke it out with New Orleans’ two bigs.
Toronto Raptors @ Oklahoma City Thunder (December 28, 9:00 GMT+8)
The Thunder find themselves firing on all cylinders. They have a winning streak on the back of uncomfortable wins and giant blowouts. However, they are slated to square off against a strong side in the Raptors. If they manage to keep their composure here and have all key players producing, they should be able to win here.
I see this as a tight contest, and consistency against strong competition is still a huge question mark with this Thunder squad. I suggest you put your cash on Toronto +3.50 @ 1.96.
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Sacramento Kings (December 28, 11:00 GMT+8)
The King is probably fuming after the frustrating turn of events that saw the Cavs lose to the Golden State Warriors. He and his squad should be locked in and rip their way through Sacramento for an easy win.
Utah Jazz @ Golden State Warriors (December 28, 11:30 GMT+8)
The Dubs may have gotten away with a few non-calls in the dying moments of their Christmas game, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that they outplayed their opposition where it matters most. They should continue to win big as they host a struggling Jazz side.
Memphis Grizzlies @ Los Angeles Lakers (December 28, 11:30 GMT+8)
The Grizzlies have a recent knack of letting weaker teams get wins at their expense, and we should not be surprised if this happens in Los Angeles. They should have their full veteran squad ready to play, but I’m not sure if they can keep up with the young legs running the show in Hollywood.
