A Hectic Day is a Good Day in the NBA

countdown banner

The NBA had a busy day as many of the teams looked upon by betting websites to make deep playoff runs were flying all over the country to play some great basketball. Underdogs made a statement while the favourites did well in holding down the fort. A lot of home crowds went home happy after many of the home teams today got the W.

Live betting vets were treated to interesting results that will help them make a better decision the next time they bet online.

Denver Nuggets 93-110 Charlotte Hornets

This win was a statement game for the Charlotte Hornets. Kemba Walker played well, but the stars of the game came from the team’s young players. Frank Kaminsky and Malik Monk had fantastic shooting nights, negating Nikola Jokic’s impact from the game. Dwight Howard looked like his 2010 self with his 15 points, 19 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Minnesota Timberwolves 101-122 Detroit Pistons

The Timberwolves are definitely missing Jimmy Butler’s productivity after being pounded to the ground by the Detroit Pistons. Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and Jeff Teague couldn’t make up for the rest of the team’s deficits as the Pistons dismantled them with great team basketball.

Houston Rockets 105-104 Philadelphia 76ers

The Houston Rockets played great basketball behind James Harden’s double-double and Eric Gordon’s high-volume scoring. However, the real talking point of this game were the Sixers: Ben Simmons is thriving in the point guard position, JJ Redick found no problems sliding into the small forward position, and Joel Embiid is still as dominant as ever despite his limited minutes.

Cleveland Cavaliers 107-122Brooklyn Nets

The Cavaliers once again showed just how uninterested they really are in regular season play.

Spencer Dinwiddie had a monster night, ending the game with 22 points, 5 rebound, 6 assists and a steal. DeMarre Carroll, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Allen Crabbe also had great nights for Brooklyn.

The consolation many fans got from this game was LeBron James’ superb triple-double performance as point guard.

San Antonio Spurs 117-100 Miami Heat

The Spurs have no reason to rush Kawhi Leonard’s recovery when they have LaMarcus Aldridge popping off.

Aldridge and Gregg Popovich may have settled their clashing styles and have found a winning formula as they continue dismantling teams in the league. Erik Spoelstra and Hassan Whiteside could do nothing as LaMarcus shot a deadly 85% from range to complement his stat line of 31 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and a block.

Indiana Pacers 96-114 Oklahoma City Thunder

Paul George struggled against his former team, fouling out after a rough night of basketball. Fortunately for him, Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony popped off to sink the Indiana Pacers to a 2-3 record. Victor Oladipo was equally relentless for the Pacers, scoring a game-high 35 points against his old team.

Memphis Grizzlies 94-103 Dallas Mavericks

This result is drenched in irony.

Dallas won their first game of the season against a Memphis team that was on an impressive win streak. Dennis Smith Jr. strut his stuff, leading the Mavericks in points and assists. Marc Gasol and Mike Conley were great as usual, but only Tyreke Evans wore his big-boy shoes among the supporting cast.

Utah Jazz 88-97 Phoenix Suns

Jay Triano is doing a good job holding down the Suns for the next head coach, winning the teams’ first game of the season against a decent opponent.

The Utah Jazz didn’t have the lead even once in the game. TJ Warren and Devin Booker did a lot of the heavy lifting for the Suns. Alex Len and Tyler Ulis also did a great job in leading the second unit, with both men scoring 13 points.

Toronto Raptors 112-117 Golden State Warriors

The Warriors managed to fend off a fourth-quarter run by the Raptors to improve their record to 3-2. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant did just enough to hamper a fantastic team effort from the Raptors. DeMar DeRozan was a tough assignment for Klay Thompson, with the Los Angeles native scoring 24 points.

Washington Wizards 99-102 Los Angeles Lakers

Don’t believe LaVar Ball if he says his son was the reason for the Lakers’ overtime win. The toast of the night should go towards Brandon Ingram. The sophomore sank the game-tying jumper to send the game to overtime. His all-around performance also helped the Lakers will a win against John Wall and company.
