Get the brooms out for a colossal sweep!

countdown banner

Now leading 3-0 in their respective NBA playoffs series, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors will look to send their opponents packing in Game 4 and thrill online gambling with another impressive sweep.

The two—who are also the betting odds favourites to meet in the finals—have been on a tear offensively, and it will surely take a lot from Toronto and Utah to stage a live betting shock.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Toronto Raptors (May 8, 03:30 GMT+8)

LeBron James is averaging at least 35 points a game in this series and the Raptors just can’t find a way to stop him. He has almost single-handedly carried the Cavs to a 3-0 lead, so don’t expect him to stop now especially that he is looking to get that extra rest that comes with finishing early.

The Cavs had an alarming turnover rate yesterday – an area which the Raps could exploit to give themselves a fighting chance. However, Cleveland’s much-improved defence should still spell trouble for the home team.

If you’re punting, Cleveland Asian Handicap -7.00 @ 2.00 isn’t a bad bet to make.

Boston Celtics @ Washington Wizards (May 8, 06:30 GMT+8)

The Wizards oft-maligned bench unit made the difference in Game 3, and if they can once again hold their ground against the Celtics’ reserve unit, Washington might just turn this series around.

Isaiah Thomas, of course, will be the usual threat he is, but with the Wizards’ starters playing better than the opposition as seen in their blowout win last Friday, this one should be difficult for the Celts.  It shouldn’t also help Boston that they will be playing at Verizon Center where the crowd will do their best to make them uncomfortable.

I expect this meeting to be much closer, though Washington’s confidence should allow them to breeze through a -4.00 handicap that pays at 1.87.

San Antonio Spurs @ Houston Rockets (May 8, 09:00 GMT+8)

Gregg Popovich’s gamble of inserting Pau Gasol to the starting unit to form a two-big lineup with LaMarcus Aldridge paid off as the Spurs now lead, 2-1.

It remains to be seen how Houston will adjust their strategy; however, they need to hurry as their three-happy offence isn’t just working against this brainchild of Popovich.

The Rockets are not easy to play on their turf, but the Spurs’ back-to-back victories make it hard to bet against them. With that said, San Antonio Asian Handicap +5.00 @ 2.08 should be a solid choice.

Golden State Warriors @ Utah Jazz (May 9, 09:00 GMT+8)

Respect to the Jazz for giving the Warriors a scare, but the difference in quality is just too massive and hard to ignore.

Although Game 3 showed that Gordon Hayward is a reliable scorer and Rudy Gobert a top-class centre, their presence are not enough to level with and stop Golden State’s collection of offensive talent.

There are just too many options for the Warriors even if one of their starters is in a slump, so I don’t think that this series will extend. Besides, the Dubs are raring to go out of Utah to experience the nightlife of LA.
