The Timberwolves are slowly rising in the Western Conference standings, as they’re one of the most in-form teams in the NBA right now. They have won four straight games and five out of their last six to improve to a 25-13 record – good for the fourth seed.
They will face the Cavaliers for the second consecutive game, looking to achieve a league double over them. After this, they’ll host the Spurs on Sunday before commencing their four-game road trip next week.
Elsewhere, the Pacers, Pistons, Celtics, Bulls, and Jazz will host the Heat, Clippers, Spurs, Mavericks, and Hornets to round out tomorrow’s six-game schedule. The latest NBA 2026 odds indicate that the hosts are more likely to win their respective matches.
As always, SBOTOP basketball fans will get their fair share of new NBA 2026 highlights. So, read more below for the preview of the Top 3 games for tomorrow.
Minnesota Timberwolves @ Cleveland Cavaliers
The Timberwolves won 131-122 at home during their first meeting of the 2025-26 campaign with the Cavaliers last Thursday, as four of their starters scored at least 20 points. They also set season highs for shooting percentages, as they went 57-per cent from the field and 53-per cent from three-point range.
Julius Randle flirted with a triple-double with 28 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists on 10-for-21 shooting in 35 minutes. Jaden McDaniels, Anthony Edwards, Donte DiVincenzo, and Rudy Gobert added 26, 25, 22, and 11 points, respectively. However, the Timberwolves have just listed Randle (thumb) and Edwards (foot) on the injury report, as they’re iffy to play against the Cavaliers, while Mike Conley (rest) is confirmed to be out.
Donovan Mitchell contributed 30 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists on 10-for-20 shooting from the field and 8-for-9 shooting from the charity stripe in 37 minutes, and he might have a similar stat line tomorrow. Sam Merrill, Evan Mobley, Darius Garland, De’Andre Hunter, and Jarrett Allen added 22, 19, 16, 14, and 11 points.
Cleveland have alternated wins and losses in their last three, but at least they have a healthier squad, with Dean Wade (knee) being their only notable absentee on Saturday evening.
Betting tip – Donovan Mitchell Over 29.50 (Points) @ 1.91
LA Clippers @ Detroit Pistons
The Pistons are certainly aware of the danger Kawhi Leonard brings, as the two-time NBA champion dropped 55 points (career-high) on them during their first encounter this season, a 112-99 result at the Intuit Dome last December 28. Since the said defeat, the Pistons have won four of their past five games to stay atop the Eastern Conference standings.
Detroit won 108-93 over Chicago on Wednesday, despite missing several key players. Backup center Isaiah Stewart popped off for 31 points to go along with three rebounds and two blocks on 14-for-17 shooting from the field. He’ll likely start again, with Jalen Duren (ankle) out for an extended period.

Cade Cunningham (wrist) was also out in the said match, but Daniss Jenkins’ 15-assist night helped fill the void. The one-time NBA All-Star has been upgraded to questionable for tomorrow.
The Clippers are coming off a 121-105 blowout win over the Nets through the vintage performances of James Harden and Kawhi Leonard, who combined for 57 points. Jordan Miller was a huge spark off the bench with 21 points and five rebounds, while John Collins added 16 points, four rebounds, and three blocks on 7-for-9 shooting from the field.

San Antonio Spurs @ Boston Celtics
Following their 114-110 home loss against the shorthanded Nuggets, the Celtics returned to winning ways with a 125-117 victory over the Raptors on Friday night.
Jaylen Brown surged to third in the league’s MVP ladder, as he continues to put up all-around numbers for Boston. The 2024 Finals MVP had 25 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists on 6-for-15 shooting from the field and 12-for-13 shooting from the free throw line against Toronto. Payton Pritchard was actually their top scorer with 27 points on 12-for-19 shooting, while Sam Hauser, Derrick White, Anfernee Simons, and Neemias Queta added 19, 18, 15, and 10 points.
The Spurs halted their two-game slide with a 107-91 win over the Lakers on Wednesday. Keldon Johnson led San Antonio with 27 points and six rebounds on 11-for-13 shooting, while Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, De’Aaron Fox, and Julian Champagnie added 16, 15, 14, and 11 points. Due to his recent injuries, Wembanyama will remain on a minutes restriction and is likely to come off the bench again.
