Excellent wing players matter in the exciting NBA!

The NBA’s latest love affair is with fast and flashy guards, but wing players matter just as much as the talented players whizzing through defences.

The presence of a talented wing player can make or break a game and the team’s future betting odds. While their prominence in online betting circles have diminished over the past few years, a terrific forward can still attract a lot to bet online for his team.

Oklahoma City Thunder 112-123 Charlotte Hornets

The Thunder definitely miss having a reliable 3 or 4 to contribute on offence and defence. Oklahoma City have no decent forward to take on the tall and athletic wings of the Hornets. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had a solid night behind Nicolas Batum and Kemba Walker.

Atlanta Hawks 111-92 Orlando Magic

Despite all of the trade rumours surrounding him, Paul Millsap made a strong showing for the Atlanta Hawks with his 16 points and 4 steals. His performance blended in nicely with Dwight Howard’s double-double and Dennis Schroder’s game-high scoring performance.

Milwaukee Bucks 105-104 New York Knicks

Carmelo Anthony loves reminding people that he is still one of the best offensive maestros to ever hold a basketball with his 30-point outburst against the Bucks. His Knicks actually led by 15 points by the third quarter, but a daring comeback led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker and Greg Monroe saw the Bucks win by the skin of their teeth.

Chicago Bulls 106-94 Cleveland Cavaliers

LeBron James did all he could, but he could not carry the slightly drained Cavaliers past banana boat buddy Dwyane Wade and his Chicago Bulls. The Bulls had a terrific team night, as six of the nine players Fred Hoiberg fielded had double-digit scoring nights. One of the good takeaways Cavs fans can take from this is the revelation of the reliable Jordan McRae.

Miami Heat 107-102 Sacramento Kings

It always spells bad news for the Kings whenever DeMarcus Cousins has a terrible shooting night. Boogie only converted 26.7% of his shots to cap a very mediocre night for him. Goran Dragic and Tyler Johnson did a lot of the heavy lifting for the understaffed Heat.

Portland Trail Blazers 117-125 Golden State Warriors

A lot of betting websites counted this game to be an easy win for the Warriors, and it was a very comfortable win for the Dubs. Draymond Green will continue to astonish many basketball pundits with his play, capping the night with a stat line of 9 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 steals and a block.

Memphis Grizzlies 106-115 Los Angeles Clippers

Austin Rivers may have found his calling at the forward position.

He scored the game-high 26 points on 10-for-16 shooting and a .500 clip from deep. He was still able to make some guard-like plays in the process, clocking in 7 assists and an assist to his stat line. Meanwhile, none of Memphis’ forwards were able to keep up with Doc Rivers’ son offensively.
