NBA Preview: Lakers Host Grizzlies, Rockets, Celtics Face Off

There’s only one month left before the NBA playoffs and teams continue to try and improve their respective positions in the standings.

Anthony Davis and the Lakers will face another star rookie in Ja Morant, while James Harden and the small-ball Rockets visit the Jayson Tatum-led Celtics at the TD Garden.

As always, SBOBET gives you our continuous coverage of the NBA’s second half of the season.

Chicago Bulls @ New York Knicks

The Bulls have lost nine of their last 10 games, but they might get some key pieces back coming into tomorrow.

Wendell Carter Jr., who was out since January due to an ankle injury, has been upgraded to probable while Denzel Valentine could also return as well.

Coby White and Zach LaVine have been holding it down for the Bulls. White has scored at least 30 points off the bench in the past three games while Zach LaVine averages a team-best of 25.5 points per game this season.

Chicago have split their first two meetings this season against New York and they plan on taking the season series lead at the Madison Square Garden.

Betting tip: Bulls Asian Handicap +2.50 @ 2.00

Portland Trail Blazers @ Atlanta Hawks

The Blazers can’t afford any more slip-ups as they make a late push for the eighth spot of the Western Conference.

As of this writing, Portland are trailing 2.5 games behind Memphis for the final playoff spot and their NBA 2020 odds of making it took a slight hit when they dropped their last game against the Pacers.

The Blazers have sorely missed Damian Lillard’s 29.5 points per game average as he has missed their last four games due to a groin injury.

They will face a Hawks team who are coming from a dominating victory against the Nets led by Trae Young and John Collins.

Betting tip: Blazers Asian Handicap +1.00 @ 1.94

Brooklyn Nets @ Miami Heat

After struggling over these last few games, the Heat have a chance to grab some momentum as they host the Nets.

Miami enter the game as the fourth seeded team in the Eastern Conference and they are 24-4 at home, but they endured some tough losses against the Clippers, Jazz, Cavaliers, Hawks, and the Timberwolves.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn are still reeling from Kyrie Irving’s season-ending shoulder injury as they’ve lost four of their last five.

Betting tip: Heat Asian Handicap -7.50 @ 2.04

Indiana Pacers @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Indiana looks to have turned a corner after suffering a six-game skid earlier this year by winning four of their last five matches.

Victor Oladipo showed glimpses of his old form when he scored 12 of his 15 points in the third quarter during their win against Portland. Domantas Sabonis notched his 45th double-double of the season while Myles Turner knocked down a big trey to ice the game.

They will face a Cavaliers team who are taking baby steps in their rebuilding process as they are now 3-1 under new head coach JB Bickerstaff.

Collin Sexton will be the main guy to look out for Cleveland as he’s scored at least 20 points in 10 of his last 13 games.

Andre Drummond is questionable to play in this game, however, due to a strained calf.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Memphis Grizzlies

LeBron James may be missing his second straight game as he deals with a sore groin that he sustained in their home win against the Pelicans.

This means that the other Lakers will have to replicate their effort last game where they routed the Warriors to a 116-86 victory.

Anthony Davis scored a team-high 23 points during the win, which included some notable NBA 2020 highlights on the defencive end.

Los Angeles will look to complete their season series sweep against Memphis. The Grizzlies are currently on a five-game losing streak.

Betting tip: Lakers Asian Handicap -6.50 @ 1.88

Houston Rockets are eager to add another win to five-game win streak in NBA clash with Boston Celtics at the TD Garden
Houston Rockets’ James Harden in action for a shot during the first half of match against Memphis Grizzlies at Toyota Center

Houston Rockets @ Boston Celtics

The Celtics will face a tall order in trying to extend their home win streak as they host the red-hot Rockets tomorrow.

Jayson Tatum is emerging as the Celtics’ best player, helping them go 3-1 in their road trip beating the likes of the Timberwolves, Blazers, and the Jazz.

Similar to Tatum, Russell Westbrook and James Harden have been lighting up the scoreboard too. The duo has tallied multiple 30-point games, towing the Rockets to a five-game winning streak.

Houston have won four consecutive games in their season series with Boston.

Betting tip: Rockets Asian Handicap +2.00 @ 1.89

Orlando Magic @ San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs will look to get back on track as they host the streaking Magic on Saturday.

San Antonio have already leveled the NBA record of 22 straight postseason appearances, but they are currently in jeopardy of missing out this time around.

Orlando, on the other hand, are placed seventh in the Eastern Conference. They have won three in a row and five of their last six.

The Magic won their first encounter of the season last November, but the Spurs have won 15 of their last 20 meetings overall.

Golden State Warriors @ Phoenix Suns

Steph Curry has yet to play despite numerous rumours on his return date which means that the Warriors will be shorthanded once more against the Suns.

Draymond Green, Eric Paschall, and Marquese Chriss will try to snap Golden State’s eight-game skid after coming off of a loss against the Lakers sans LeBron James.

The Suns have their share of injuries too as Kelly Oubre Jr. is feared to have tore his meniscus last week.  Cam Johnson is day-to-day due to an upper body issue while Frank Kaminsky remains out as well.

Ricky Rubio, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton will try to hold the fort for Phoenix as they attempt to bounce back from back-to-back losses against the Clippers and the Pistons.
