Djokovic shrugs off his shoulder injury
We all know that Novak Djokovic is virtually unstoppable, but he looked human right after he won against Juan Ignacio Londero in straight sets in their second-round matchup.

When asked if the injury could hamper him in the long run, he said, “I don’t think so. We did ultrasound examinations and checks to show that there was no damage… I don’t think it can be a problem in the long run, for example until the end of the season, etc.”

Kyrgios got into hot water once again in the ongoing tournament. Earlier this week, he threw an accusation about the ATP being corrupt and he had a disagreement with the authorities when his shirt collar wrote “Just Do You” for some reason. League officials can’t seem to get enough of him.
“[The collar] I think it was a misunderstanding. I think they thought it was a slogan but it wasn’t. I knew the supervisor was wrong, but I just folded my collar down,” said Kyrgios.
But nevertheless, the young Australian continues to be the hottest ticket in the town as he advances to the third round. He is slated to go up against Andrey Rublev, who is also doing very well himself.
Rafael Nadal’s cakewalk to the next round
Rafael Nadal did not even have to break a sweat as he moves on to the third round of the US Open.
The pride of Spain was awarded a walkover when his opponent Thanasi Kokkinakis pulled out due to a right shoulder injury.
The 18-time grand slam titlist had the rare advantage of getting some much-needed rest while the others on that day went through some gruelling multiple setters.
Alexander Zverev had to earn his second round victory the hard way by going five sets with American player Frances Tiafoe. Daniil Medvedev, on the other hand, required four sets to finish off Hugo Dellien.
Hyeon Chung made a rousing comeback after being down by two sets against Fernando Verdasco, in what was a shocking upset. Chung can definitely score some statement victories once he gets his game going. After all, he managed to defeat the likes of Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic back in the 2018 Australian Open.
He is slated to face Rafael Nadal in the next round as he tries to break his losing slump against the Spaniard. Nadal leads their ATP head-to-head rivalry at 2-0 and won in all of the four sets that they played.
