NBA: A Battle of Guards Will Rock Oklahoma City

The NBA always provide a perfect backdrop for on-court battles and off-court drama. The amount of buzz that was published during the week as trades kept on happening left and right. These stories are what make the league one of the best places to watch basketball.

Of the nine games that will be played on Sunday, one particular game catches the eye. Two former team-mates face each other in what promises to be an entertaining battle at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Russell Westbrook and James Harden have always made NBA 2019 news pages for their outstanding play, and it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have that same amount of expectation for this match. After all, a game involving these two tend to become high-scoring affairs.

San Antonio Spurs @ Utah Jazz (February 10, 05:00 GMT+8)

The Spurs have one of the best shooting guards in DeMar DeRozan, but they simply cannot help but lose to a better-equipped Portland team. They are now on a three-game skid and the Spurs faithful hope that they will be able t stop break off the losing streak by winning against a very inconsistent Utah Jazz squad.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Indiana Pacers (February10, 07:00 GMT+8)

It would have been easy to assume that the Pacers would struggle without Victor Oladipo, but Bojan Bogdanovic and Myles Turner are doing a fantastic job in leading the team. They have now won four games in a row, are perfectly situated in the Eastern Conference, and are about to boost their team by acquiring Wesley Matthews.

They should have no problem dealing with the Cleveland Cavaliers at all.

Charlotte Hornets @ Atlanta Hawks (February 10, 07:30 GMT+8)

At first glance, this seems like a battle between two franchises that are in limbo. However, what I see here is a potential classic as both of these teams have a top point guard who is leading them. Kemba Walker and Trae Young are playing great basketball at the moment and should be able to wow us with their plays.

Toronto Raptors @ New York Knicks (February 10, 07:30 GMT+8)

The New York Knicks don’t have that much in the way of talent. Sure, Dennis Smith Jr. and DeAndre Jordan are two top players, but they are surrounded by a ragtag bunch that doesn’t one bit interested in winning.

Meanwhile, the Raptors have Kawhi Leonard. The Klaw is smacking his lips at the prospect of another easy win.

Los Angeles Clippers @ Boston Celtics (February 10, 08:00 GMT+8)

Tobias Harris’ surprise trade to the Philadelphia 76ers took the wind out of the Clippers, as evidenced by their most recent defeat to Indiana. We can see the franchise gunning for Kawhi in the summer, but the players currently wearing a Clippers jersey might have to brace themselves for a rough night in Boston.

Washington Wizards @ Chicago Bulls (February 10, 08:00 GMT+8)

If you ask this scribe’s opinion, the Wizards should blow their team up and start with a clean sheet. However, they just missed their window and would have to make do with Beal single-handedly doing amazing things for Washington against Zach LaVine‘s Bulls.

New Orleans Pelicans @ Memphis Grizzlies (February 10, 08:00 GMT+8)

Not everything is peachy in the Big Easy. They kept Anthony Davis through the trade deadline in spite of the drama they insinuated over the past month. Whether the Brow will play at full strength against the Grizzlies remains to be seen, but we’re sure of one thing: Davis is not happy to be still in New Orleans.

The Grizzlies also missed out on trading their franchise pieces to the Raptors. While they are seemingly doomed for another early summer, I’m sure Mike Conley‘s 20 PPG and Marc Gasol‘s near double-double averages would always be there for SBOBET fans and the Grit ‘n Grind Grizzlies.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Houston Rockets (February 10, 08:30 GMT+8)

James Harden and Russell Westbrook are making rounds up and down the grapevine for their impressive performances. The two All-Stars have always performed at a high level, with Westbrook breaking records in the process.

They will be leading their teams to an entertaining duel at the Toyota Center. This game has interesting NBA 2019 odds as it could possibly go down to the wire. However, I give a slight advantage to the Thunder as they have another brilliant star in Paul George.

Orlando Magic @ Milwaukee Bucks (February 10, 08:30 GMT+8)

It seems that the Magic made a nonsensical move in acquiring Markelle Fultz from the Philadelphia 76ers, but they need all the help they can get at this point. Given how they struggle to find any form of stability over the past decade, they will take their chances on an injured, unproven guard.

His start with the Magic won’t be a great one, though: he will be sitting on the sidelines as he watches Giannis Antetokounmpo pound his new team to submission.
