NBA: Great Basketball Makes Its Way to British Soil

Exciting times abound in the association as the NBA makes its yearly trip across the pond. Two of the most popular teams in the league will be playing their regular season game in front of an adoring British crowd in London, England.

While the New York Knicks and the Washington Wizards aren’t exactly the most dangerous teams to play against in the league, both sides have exciting players that can wow the football-crazy crowd with flashy moves and incredible shots.

Back on home ground, there are plenty of interesting ball games that will be played. The biggest game of interest is easily between the Philadelphia 76ers and Indiana Pacers. The two electrifying teams are led by young stars and will definitely make for high-quality basketball.

New York Knicks @ Washington Wizards (January 18, 03:00 GMT+8)

The Washington Wizards will be the home team, but The O2 is definitely not the Capital One Arena. They don’t have to worry about alienation, though: New York Knicks vs Washington Wizards odds pit them as the favourites to win the game.

Londoners better watch out for Bradley Beal. The sixth-year guard out of Florid has been shooting the lights out of their opponents ever since John Wall went down with a season-ending heel injury. He is probably the sole reason why the Wizards aren’t completely out of the picture yet.

While Tim Hardaway Jr. and his 20-point outings are respectable, his hamstring injury might even force him to sit out this big game. Moreover, Enes Kanter and Kristaps Porzingis are big omissions from this underequipped Knicks team.

Sacramento Kings @ Charlotte Hornets (January 18, 07:00 GMT+8)

The Kings continue their impressive run to the season as they just keep on winning. Sacramento pulled off incredible wins against Portland and Detroit on the back of strong outings from Buddy Hield and De’Aaron Fox. Moreover, they defeated the Hornets at the Golden 1 Center.

However, it’s hard to discount the Hornets at home. Charlotte are 14-8 whenever they play at the Spectrum Center. Kemba Walker is also a walking 25 points and six assists for the Hornets and will be an impact player for the middling franchise.

It’s also hard not to get motivated when you have Michael Jordan cheering you on from the sidelines.

Philadelphia 76ers @ Indiana Pacers (January 18, 07:00 GMT+8)

<a rel=

Let’s reiterate the obvious: the Philadelphia 76ers are one hell of a basketball team.

They showed off against Minnesota in a game that was definitely one of the early NBA 2019 highlights for their fans. They have a supreme big man in Joel Embiid, a no-nonsense two-way star in Jimmy Butler, and a virtual triple-double machine in Ben Simmons.

It may look like the Pacers will be in dire straits, but they also have one of the most dynamic teams in the league. Victor Oladipo is only averaging 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists, but his impact on this team is unbelievable. Bojan Bogdanovic and Domantas Sabonis are also doing fantastic work for Indy.

Phoenix Suns @ Toronto Raptors (January 18, 07:30 GMT+8)

The Phoenix Suns have a golden egg in Devin Booker, and his 24-point averages will be of great help to this struggling Suns team when they travel north to face the Raptors. However, do you sincerely believe that they stand a chance when Kawhi Leonard gets his giant claws on their precious egg?

Chicago Bulls @ Denver Nuggets (January 18, 09:00 GMT+8)

The Denver Nuggets have stuttered a bit as of late: they barely won against the Blazers while suffering shocking losses to Phoenix and Golden State. The Dubs ate a lot of Nuggets for breakfast as they scored an insane 51 points in the first quarter.

While this is an opportunity for the other teams to pounce on Denver’s weakness, their next opponents are the Chicago Bulls. I don’t think a franchise that is seemingly going nowhere can pull off another upset, do they?

Los Angeles Lakers @ Oklahoma City Thunder (January 18, 09:30 GMT+8)

New York Knicks vs Washington Wizards Odds are baking the home team to win
Paul George and Russell Westbrook are threat to Los Angeles Lakers

The SBOBET NBA markets have the Los Angeles Lakers losing against the Oklahoma City Thunder despite having one of the better records in the Western Conference. The main reason for this is the absence of one LeBron James from the Purple and Gold roster.

Moreover, the Oklahoma City Thunder have one of the best two-way men in Paul George. PG is averaging 26.6 PPG while handling the best offensive player in the opposing team. With no LeBron in the roster, Paul will make easy pickings of Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram.

And we haven’t even talked about Russell Westbrook at this point.
